A Clean Slate

I have decided to start this blog as more of a journal. If you read it that's fine, but it's mostly for me. It is also a way for my friends to stay updated on my life since we can't just go have coffee and discuss it anymore. I thought they might like a clean slate instead of trying to search through my venture into the digital scrap booking world to find the info they really want.

The kids are doing great. Bekah is growing so fast! She turns 2 next month but already is nearing 3T in size. She's so smart too! I credit her big brother with that one though. Her newest thing is puzzles, MIL bought her a wooden animal puzzle and both have been obsessed with it so I bought them some of the cardboard ones. Of course little miss gets frustrated. "If it doesn't fit, force it" is her motto. Christopher is doing great too. He has some shapes & colors flash cards that he gets almost all of them right, even the octagon! That one was a surprise. He likes his alphabet cards too but thinks they are all B's. Silly boy. We were spelling words like most parents do to keep the kids from understanding but he has learned those and will just tell us what we spelled. Even though he doesn't know his alphabet yet, he can still sight read quite a few words.

My husband has not been well since returning from his trip to visit his family for mother's day. (Yes it irritated me that I spent mother's day without my husband and without my son but oh well) First he spent about 3-4 days vomiting. The night he felt a little better from that he went to his friend's house and managed to severely sprain his knee and may need surgery eventually to fix it, but not immediately thankfully. While on the mend from that he has gotten a sinus infection. Sore throat, congestion, whole 9 yards. Did you know that there are very few sinus meds that don't react with his antidepressant and bipolar meds? We did not learn this until after he took the sinus meds. THEN (yes more!) he had the bright idea to just jump from the doorway to the bed trying to lay down instead of walking the 5 feet... needless to say my husband is not superman and cannot fly. He banged up the "good" knee. Sick men suck!

My mom is doing well though. She has made some friends and is getting active in the AA community again which is great for her. Don't worry, I can mention the AA thing as she's very open with it so I'm not breaking any rules there.

And me? Well, I'm extremely frustrated at my life right now with the husband sick and injured. Feeling very alone, to the point that I'm now taking meds to help. But at least these meds are working for it, that's a first. My little work at home venture into the digital scrap booking is picking up. I don't make enough to live on but the amount I make does feed my addiction for it. Sales are picking up though! If you want to check out my store, go to http://www.deco-pages.com/ and click on FlutterbyeFaery Designs in the column on the left side of the screen. I promise that will be the only plug for my stuff on this blog! I still have no friends here. Of course I don't go anywhere to meet people. Brandon's friend got a new girlfriend though and she seems nice.

Well, that's about it on the updates. I won't promise to post more tomorrow as I don't do well at keeping up daily but I'll post more eventually!

Follow follow follow!

I too understand the agony of the sick Boyfriend/Husband. It seems to be a normal thing from man to man. They all act like babies in the end.

And Evan is also an 'If it doesn't fit, force it!" fan. Though he surprised me the other day with his fridge magnets. I asked him where the 'O' was and he picked it out and said 'O!' I was very proud!
